Purpose
You use this business process in order to respond to requests made by prospects for information on specific goods, and in particular, on prices. The prospect contacts the vendor and asks for detailed information on products. You create an inquiry in SAP CRM.
Inquiry processing is available in CRM Enterprise (SAP GUI), in CRM Mobile Sales, and in the Interaction Center WinClient. The CRM People-Centric UI does not have its own application for inquiries.
Process Flow
The following process runs in SAP CRM: 1. Create inquiry
A prospect makes an inquiry regarding one or several products from your enterprise. You create an inquiry.
2. Create activity
You create an activity in order to take up personal contact with the business partner at a later date, if necessary.
3. Monitor status of inquiry
You check regularly whether the status of the inquiry has changed, for example, whether the business partner is interested in a quotation.
