I am quite new in the SD.. I am wondering what is the function of the Update button on the Sales document's item condition tab?

What does this button do when I press it?

Hello,

If you mean that update button in Sales order - conditions sheet...this means that you can update the prices.
Every price condition has some validity period(price valid from-to). There is a field pricing date in the sales order/invoice. The prices in the sales order depens on the pricing date - date when the pricing was carried out. With this update button you can update the prices for new pricing date and different prices can be found(or not:-)
